Infants

Leaving your new baby can be overwhelming and we understand that completely. Our infant classroom volunteers have been trained to care for all of your infant’s needs. We want you to have peace of mind and be able to focus on the service knowing that your child is in good care. We hope that the following reminders will help you and your baby have a great experience on Sunday morning.

  • Please bring diapers, bottles, pacifiers and any special blankets that will comfort your baby through the morning.
  • Remember to label all of your baby’s items.
  • Please fill out the sheet located outside your baby’s room regarding feeding schedules and nap time.

Ages 1 & 2

What a fun and active age this is in your child’s life! In Safariland, we look forward to teaching them that God loves them, God made them, and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Our curriculum is centered on these three basic truths. We focus on one of the basic truths each month. Every week your children will learn a Bible story that will help them understand the key truth for the morning.

All activities are age-appropriate for one and two year olds. Each week is full of objects for kids to touch, wild and wiggly activities to get them moving, and crafts they will love creating!

Each week your child will receive a Small Talk card to take home. This card provides parents with ideas for conversations they can have with their child at home. You are your child’s best teacher, so use these activities to talk about God with them at home.

  • Be sure to bring extra diapers and a change of clothes for your child.
  • Remember to label all items, including cups, snacks, diapers, pacifiers, etc.

Ages 3-5

Our curriculum for this age group continues to concentrate on three basic truths: “God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.” We focus on one of these basic truths each month. Every week your children will learn a Bible story that will help them understand the key truth for the morning.

Our classroom is full of objects for kids to touch, wild and wiggly activities to get them moving, crafts they will love getting into, and real life situations they can understand at their level. Our goal is to help each child master one concept at a time by creatively repeating the key message in a way that children at this age and comprehend and remember. We also encourage children to talk to God at any time and any place!

Reminders

  • Snacks are provided in the classrooms – usually Goldfish or Animal Crackers. If we are serving something different, you will find it listed on the sheet on the window outside of your child’s classroom. If your children have any allergies and cannot eat what we have provided, please inform the teachers and bring an approved snack for your child.
  • Please do not bring toys from home, as it is very difficult to keep up with them.
  • Please label all of your child’s belongings.

We truly want this to be the best hour of your child’s week!
